The Student Association of the Faculty of Technology and Information Science (PERTAMA) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is a student leadership body for students of the Faculty of Technology and Information Science. PERTAMA acts as an intermediary between FTSM students and the faculty administration. The association also organizes various activities for students in the Faculty of Technology and Information Science, aiming to strengthen relationships among students, lecturers, and the surrounding community, preparing FTSM students to face real-world challenges in their future careers. PERTAMA functions not only in terms of welfare but also covers all aspects that bring FTSM students closer to various current issues and resolving problems that arise among FTSM students.

ORGANIZATION CHART

Responsible for ensuring the welfare of students by offering financial aid, counseling, and welfare programs in addition to making sure that students' basic requirements are satisfied for their social and academic well-being.
Strengthens international networks by connecting international students with the faculty, organizing cultural integration programs, and establishing strategic partnerships with external institutions for student exchange and joint programs.
Strengthens alumni relations by updating the alumni database and developing collaborative initiatives that involve alumni in faculty development and student career opportunities.
Develops students’ sports talents by planning and managing intensive training, coordinating the participation of sports tournaments inside or outside the faculty, as well as organizing recreational activities that foster sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle among FTSM students.
Manages media and publicity strategies for PERTAMA by producing creative content such as logos, posters, and videos, as well as leveraging social media platforms to effectively promote faculty programs and achievements.
Leads entrepreneurial initiatives by generating income through sales and services, organizing entrepreneurship workshops, and building strong sponsorship networks to support faculty activities.
Manages the protocol of official events by planning the order of ceremonies, ensuring smooth event execution, and maintaining protocol standards and ethics in every event organized by the faculty.
Empowers FTSM students’ academics and leadership by offering academic guidance, mentor-mentee programs, and leadership training to build generations of talented, knowledgeable and competent future leaders.
Develops students’ personalities and spirituality by organizing motivational programs, self-management workshops, and religious activities that support personal and spiritual growth for students.
Coordinates programme support by planning and implementing innovative programs, as well as being always ready to provide assistance to other exco to ensure the success of faculty activities.
