ABOUT US


JAIST partner University Master connection Program (JUMP) consist of two components, an internship and a master’s program.
1. INTERNSHIP
UKM students will undergo their internship at JAIST with:

Requirements

The duration of internships shall be a minimum of one (1) week and a maximum of three (3) months.

Eligibility

Applicants for the internship must be enrolled in the undergraduate program of UKM. It is desirable that they have completed at least two (2) years of study at the time of application.

Number of Students

The maximum number of UKM students accepted by JAIST for internships each year shall be up to twelve (12).

Application Procedures

Students from UKM shall carefully read the Application Guide stipulated by JAIST and submit the prescribed application documents. The application deadline is the last day of the month, four (4) months prior to the start of the internship. For online internships, the deadline is the last day of the month, two (2) months prior to the start of the internship.

Selection Method

Selection shall be conducted through document review by JAIST's School Faculty Meeting.

Notification of Results

JAIST shall provide UKM with the notification letter detailing the selection results.


2. MASTER PROGRAM
JAIST shall offer students recommended by UKM with the opportunity to study in JAIST’s master’s program based on Examination for Admission on Recommendation for Partner Universities guidelines.

Requirements

UKM will select students who demonstrate outstanding character and academic performance and, after an interview with the faculty of JAIST, notify the students based on the results of the interview.

Eligibility

Applicants must be regular students enrolled in the undergraduate program of UKM.

Number of Students

The maximum number of UKM students accepted by JAIST each year shall be up to six (6)

Application Procedures

Applications will be based on the Examination for Admission on Recommendation for Partner Universities guidelines. The application deadline is in accordance with the application guidelines.

Selection Method

The selection shall be based on a comprehensive assessment of submitted academic transcripts and other required supporting documents. Successful applicants must commit to enrolling at JAIST upon receiving the notification of acceptance, except where extenuating circumstances preclude their enrollment, in which case UKM shall notify JAIST at the earliest possible date.

Notification of Results

JAIST shall communicate the results of acceptance or rejection to both UKM and the applicant on the day of the announcement. Enrollment procedure documents will be sent to the accepted applicant.

Enrollment Procedures

Enrollment shall follow JAIST’s official schedule, with intakes scheduled for October.
